Shiloh, IL. – The REALTOR® Association of Southwestern Illinois (RASI), the voice of real estate in the Metro-East and proponent of safety is giving back to the community with a monetary donation of $1,000 to the Violence Prevention Center of Southwestern Illinois.
The donation was made from funds raised by RASI’s Toni Hannon Golf Outing, held August 14th at Far Oaks Golf Club. Toni Hannon was a member of the Association, who made a huge difference through her commitment to community service within the Association and through other non-profit organizations. In a biography written by her, Toni stated, “My belief, in anything I do, is treat everyone honestly, fairly, and with respect.” Toni exhibited all those qualities and more. Toni Hannon tragically lost her life in a domestic violence situation.
Every year the Golf Outing has been held; part of the proceeds has gone to the Violence Prevention Center.
“Toni Hannon was a great friend and wonderful person. We are so happy we can host this event and donate to the Violence Prevention Center to honor her memory” says Deb Frazier, RASI CEO.
For over forty years, The Violence Prevention Center of Southwestern Illinois has been a leader in providing safety, shelter, support, and guidance to survivors of domestic violence. The Violence Prevention Center of Southwestern Illinois works to eliminate domestic violence in individual lives and in society as a whole.
